On Wednesday 17th of June, Certificate IV in Marketing and Certificate IV in Business students from Swinburne University of Technology (TAFE) got a taste for the real world by participating in a mock trade show event. In order to participate, students worked in a group to develop an innovative product that could be sold in the real world.
From product innovation to design and ultimately selling, each member of the group was responsible for a particular aspect of the product development process.
The event was run in conjunction with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) with Alex Makin, the Victorian Chair of the Australian Marketing Institute, the keynote speaker of the event.
As a teacher at Swinburne University of Technology (TAFE) it was great being able to give students real life experience and to participate in the event not just as a teacher but as a event sponsor too.
Congratulations to all involved in the event and to all student winners.
“Hi Julia, I wanted to thank you again for the awesome job you did with the Expo, well done and thanks for stepping up and making it happen.”
