A webinar is a web presentation that’s delivered by a hosting supplier to an audience of individuals. Webinars are an invaluable marketing tool which help to generate leads, attract new signups and build brand recognition.
The great thing about offering a webinar is that you know your audience is interested in the subject on offer. This is often quite useful as it allows the presenter to onsell a product or service that one is providing as the webinar audience are considered ‘hot prospects’.
The best way to develop a successful webinar program is to think of it as a funnel. Most webinar programs allow you to generate leads through a capture page. You can then use marketing tactics to convert these leads into sales. It’s important to note that leads can unsubscribe at any time. If the lead doesn’t unsubscribe, follow them up! It’s highly likely they are interested in your products or services so convert them to sales!
There is little point in presenting a webinar program or series if you do not have a strategy in place to onsell, upsell or follow up regularly with the leads. The point of a webinar is to convert leads into sales. So if you haven’t thought this far ahead don’t present a webinar just yet.
Remember you generally only get once chance to impress so if you haven’t thought about your message, what you want to say and how you will go about saying it – think long and hard before presenting a webinar.
Until next time,
